We're on the hunt for an Associate Software Engineer to be part of the Product Development team to help build and maintain our new range of contactless validation devices. As our Associate Software Engineer, you’ll work within a dedicated team designing, developing, and testing embedded software.

The product suite centres on embedded devices that provide AFC (Transit) and EMV-card payment functionality. The focus of development will include the design and development of various Linux kernel drivers and low-level software for Linux-based hardware.

What you'll need to be successful:

  • A passion for Embedded Devices coupled with practical experience
  • A significant background with Embedded Linux, and an overall proficiency with Linux environments
  • Experience in writing, maintaining, debugging and cross-compiling C code
  • Familiar with Shell/Bash scripting, kernel drivers and libraries
  • Experience with software development principles and practices
  • Analytical and problem solving skills


Desirable skills :

  • Understanding of electronics, micro-controller-based designs, and ability to work with hardware schematics.
  • Proficiency in bus and network protocols such as SPI, I2C, USB, UDP, TCP/IP.
  • Hardware debugging using oscilloscopes and protocol analysers.
