We are seeking Personal Care Assistants on a permanent part time basis to join our care team at our Derwent Views in Hobart, Tasmania

The Position:

The successful candidate will become an integral member of our vibrant and encouraging care team. They will deliver proficient personal care, support, and aid to all residents, following the direction and guidance of the senior clinical team.

Requirements

Essential:

  • Current National Police Certificate (or ability to acquire).
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
  • A relevant qualification for the position, Certificate III Individual Support, or ability to acquire.

The successful candidate will be responsible for but not limited to:

  • Providing personal care to assist residents to maintain independence and dignity with respect to activities of daily living and lifestyle.
  • Attend to meal delivery and refreshments as required.
  • Record observations on relevant assessment charts and documents any observed exceptions to the care plan in the progress notes; and reports such to the EN/RN.
  • Check residents daily menu requirements.
  • Attend to duties as allocated and or delegated by the RN/EN, including general ward duties.
  • Any other task not defined but within the employees skills, as directed by the organisation
  • Flexibility to work shift work

To be considered for employment with Respect, each candidate must satisfy the legislative requirements of Aged Care Worker Screening to ensure suitability to work in the aged care industry.
