About the role
We are looking for an experienced Mandarin teacher/consultant to help us write non-immersion visual text resources that are suitable for students working at a beginner level and are aligned to the Australian Curriculum.
This project involves adapting our beginner (A1) content, which is a combination of 10 topic-based lessons. We are offering AUD$185 per lesson to complete translations of our content, and writing Visual Text copy along with accompanying questions.
This opportunity might suit you if:
- You have 5+ years of experience teaching beginner Mandarin language in Australia;
- You are confident with the use of Google Suite;
- You can commit to a workload of 10 - 15 hours per week during November and early December 2023;
Skills and attributes required:
- Bi-lingual in Mandarin and English with experience teaching/tutoring the language experience.
- Experience with writing and creating authentic Mandarin learning resources.
- Tertiary qualification in Languages or a related area.
- Confidence working with Languages at a secondary level.
- Ability to communicate effectively and maintain professional relationships with editors
- Strong attention to detail to ensure our instructional design standard is reached
- Highly adaptable and agile approach, with the ability to deliver quality results
