We are seeking a technically minded Performance Marketing professional with a strong track record in team leadership and B2B lead generation, particularly through Google Ads on an 8-month parental leave cover contract. Your experience should encompass the entire process from strategy to implementation, consistently delivering tangible performance improvements.

In this role, you will lead a team responsible for B2B lead generation efforts in both the AU and US markets through paid digital media. Your focus will be collaborating closely with our regional marketing teams to drive high-quality growth across various digital channels, including paid search, display, and paid social.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Hands-on experience in developing and executing digital advertising strategies.
  • Managing, structuring, and maintaining the work quality of the paid marketing team.
  • Ideation, creation, optimisation, and reporting on all paid activities across various platforms, including Google Search, Performance Max/Demand-gen, Facebook/Instagram, Linkedin, Twitter, and more.
  • Identifying and expanding paid digital marketing into appropriate new channels.
  • Setting up and efficiently managing a 7-figure annual ad spend budget, with a strong understanding of how to maximise CAC payback periods.
  • Collaborating closely with the Creative and Content team and providing feedback to ensure the optimal ad content is produced for each platform.
  • Partnering with the Data Analytics and Web team to analyse data, identify areas of opportunity, and optimise campaign landing page conversion rates (e.g., A/B testing, split testing) to achieve maximum ROI.
  • Collaborating with regional Marketing Campaign teams to optimise paid campaigns against key funnel target metrics such as Leads, CPA and CAC.
  • Delivering periodic updates and conducting account analysis to identify campaign opportunities.
  • Providing weekly, monthly, and quarterly marketing reports.
  • Collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders to evolve the broader digital marketing strategy.


To be successful in this role you will possess the following skills and attributes:

  • Solid experience in paid search, with additional experience across other paid digital channels
  • Hands-on campaign optimisation experience - you will be the primary owner of our SEM campaigns so this is a must!
  • Ability to multi-task and work with multiple stakeholders to achieve desired objectives.
  • Proven ability to drive innovation within planned campaigns across enterprise-size SEM accounts.
  • Strong attention to detail and a data-driven approach
  • Experience in data analysis using AdWords and Google Analytics reports you are a lover of devising campaign strategies based on data-driven insights.
  • An understanding of the broader digital marketing landscape, ad technology and attribution methodology
  • Experience setting up and using automated reporting functions or dashboarding tools, such as Google Data Studio, Tableau or Power BI
  • The ability to stay up to date in a fast-paced industry you’re a proactive researcher who has frequently introduced new tools or techniques to your previous roles.
  • Experience with B2B acquisition methods and HubSpot is a plus, but not essential.
