About the Role:
Working as part of the Regional Commercial Excellence team, this role exists to partner with Aliaxis businesses across APAC regionally to improve profitability by developing and implementing systems and processes to enhance decision making around pricing.
The Senior Pricing Analyst will collaborate closely with sales and marketing to optimise pricing decisions including improving quoting processes, refining pricing architecture across the portfolio, and engage in other cross functional projects that impact pricing.
Responsibilities include:
- Introduce relevant initiatives from Commercial Excellence Playbooks relating to pricing and margin management into the businesses.
- Conduct regular diagnostic assessments to identify areas for improvement, develop quantified initiatives and drive value driven actions
- Help guide pricing governance processes, offering insights and evaluations to support pricing initiatives. Use your financial acumen to assess pricing actions and provide valuable feedback to commercial teams.
- Champion the development, maintenance and introduction of analytical models and frameworks, empowering commercial teams to make informed strategic pricing decisions using tools like power Bi.
- Provides advice to commercial teams on pricing strategies for key project deals by considering relevant historical quotes amp; win/loss ratios, understanding current and forecasted costs of key inputs such as raw materials, factory utilization, and competitor information through market intelligence.
- Recommend and lead specific projects to improve the efficiency of systems and processes around price management.
- Develops amp; maintains systems and databases to monitor external market pricing movements by segment (geographic, market, channel) over time and communicate the insights to the commercial teams to optimise pricing strategies for distributor and direct markets.
Requirements:
- Strong background in pricing analysis amp; scenario modelling, implementing pricing strategies in a dynamic market environment.
- Extensive working experience in Sales, Marketing or Financial Analyst positions, with strong bias toward analytics
- Proven experience in offering insights and improvements to pricing and margins through analysis and engagement with the business.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Commerce, Finance or Business
- Proven experience using analytical tools PowerBi and Excel
- Experienced in direct to market/major contracts as well as over the counter/distributor environments.
- Can communicate complex information in a clear and effective way across multiple levels in the organisation.
