The Energy Developments (ED) team at Xodus provides consultancy services to the energy sector during the early stages of project development from inception to the commencement of Front End Engineering Design. As a truly integrated consultancy, we bring together a range of technical specialists with the right skills and experience to solve our clients’ challenges in the identification and selection of the optimum developments, and the path to realise their value.

We have a need for an experienced energy project development professional to join our ED team within the Asia Pacific region. Working as a key member of a small, dynamic team, you will support existing and new clients by developing their projects across a broad range of technologies and products in the energy sector. In particular, the work will support our clients in their contribution to the Energy Transition and therefore you will have a keen interest or experience in emerging technologies such as carbon capture, utilisation and storage, hydrogen production and associated products, and renewable energy resources.

Overall Purpose of the Role

Reporting to the Director, Energy Developments APAC, the purpose of the role is to lead the delivery of Xodus multi-disciplinary studies and projects in the Energy Sector, and in so doing, participate in the Energy Transition to a net zero emissions future.

Primary duties:

  • Support the ED team globally in the delivery of services and projects to clients.
  • Assessing the feasibility of energy development opportunities from technical, economic, legal, environmental, societal, operational, organisational and political perspectives.
  • Working with and leading multidiscipline engineering teams with diverse technical backgrounds and experience to deliver integrated project solutions tailored to client requirements.
  • Ensure the delivery of project scopes within cost, quality and schedule constraints.
  • Develop skills in project cost estimation, schedule development and economic assessment as required by project needs.
  • Develop technical and commercial proposals in response to client requests.
  • Develop new and maintain existing client and stakeholder relationships.

Requirements

Academic Qualifications and Experience

  • Relevant Engineering Degree
  • Chartered engineer (or equivalent) with relevant professional body
  • Approximately 10 to 20 years’ experience in the energy industries
  • Experience in leading the delivery of multi-discipline assignments within designated budget and schedule targets, and in accordance with the quality management system requirements.
  • Experience in energy developments in early phases of project development (prior to FEED).
