THE BUSINESS

Cruise Whitsundays is an award winning, innovative, and experienced maritime operator, based in Airlie Beach. Our experiences include day and overnight tours throughout the Whitsundays, as well as resort connection services. We are proud to offer Australia’s first underwater accommodation, Reefsuites, on The Great Barrier Reef and exclusive Reefsleep experience at Reefworld moored offshore at Hardy Reef, 40 nautical miles from Airlie Beach.


THE ROLE

We have the unique opportunity to join the Sales amp; Marketing team as Sales amp; Cruise Ship Support on a permanent full time basis. Reporting to the Sales and Marketing Manager, the primary purpose of this role is to provide support to the Sales amp; Marketing Team as well as all booking and co-ordination of Cruise Ship Business with Cruise Whitsundays.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to;

  • On the ground support for Cruise Ships on Cruise Ship Days (including set up and pack down of POA Terminal);
  • Booking and co-ordination of all Cruise Ship Business;
  • Work closely with internal departments to coordinate and safely manage logistics and guests;
  • Manage website partners product content and availability;
  • Set up local promotions, agent accounts and manage OTAs;
  • Prepare and share run sheets and internal spreadsheets;
  • Produce market analysis and sales reports as required;
  • Ensure the Cruise Whitsundays retail store is always well-stocked and attractively presented, meeting or exceeding all sales and customer satisfaction KPIs';
  • Other sales and marketing administration tasks as required.

This role is primarily Monday to Friday however the successful candidate will be required to work flexible hours to facilitate Cruise Ship visits and networking events.

Requirements

  • Minimum of two (2) years customer service/sales experience;
  • Minimum of one (1) year supervisory experience;
  • Certificate IV in Tourism or Business Degree is highly advantageous;
  • Proficient with MS Office and general administrative skills;
  • Confident with the use of technology and communication devices;
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends, public holidays and evenings.
