The Position:

The IT Manager plays a pivotal role in shaping the technology landscape of the organisation by leading a dedicated IT team, optimising our technology infrastructure, and aligning IT strategies with our mission and business goals. The position will make a direct impact on the quality of care we provide to our residents and clients by supporting staff in the delivery of care through the use of technology with the below focuses:


  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with organisational leadership and reporting to the Chief Information Officer, implement a technology roadmap that aligns with business goals.
  • Team Leadership: Manage, recruit, and develop a high-performing IT team, ensuring optimal productivity and professional growth.
  • Project Management: Oversee multiple projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Infrastructure Management: Maintain and upgrade IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, networks, and cloud services, to ensure operational efficiency and security.
  • Security amp; Compliance: Develop and enforce IT policies, procedures, and best practices to maintain the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of information assets.
  • Vendor Management: Negotiate with and manage third-party vendors, ensuring quality service delivery and compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Technical Support: Ensure the provision of efficient and effective IT support services, setting quality standards and response times for resolving internal issues.
  • Business Continuity: Assist with and develop and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans to mitigate risks and ensure operational resilience.
  • Data Management: Oversee data governance, storage, and backup processes, ensuring compliance with legal regulations and internal policies.
  • Reporting amp; Analytics: Monitor KPIs, prepare periodic reports, and offer actionable insights to leadership for informed decision-making.
  • Professional Development: Keep up to date with IT trends and advancements, ensuring the organization is utilizing the best technology to meet its objectives.

Requirements

  • Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications or demonstrated experience at a similar level in IT Management (essential).
  • ITIL Expertise: Experience in ITIL Service, Change, and Incident Management processes.
  • Team Leadership: Proven experience in leading teams, coaching, and mentoring with the ability to motivate others.
  • Client-Centric: Strong commitment to client-focused operations and thriving within a collaborative team environment.
  • Organisational Skills: Excellent organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail, ability to manage priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Communication: Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Problem Solving: Excellent troubleshooting and problem resolution skills.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong demonstrated technical skills, including expertise in several of the following areas
      • Microsoft infrastructure (Azure AD, Windows Server, SQL Servers, Remote Desktop Servers, Intune, Office 365, Sharepoint)
      • Single Sign-On
      • VMware amp; Virtualisation
      • Scripting and maintenance
      • Fortinet/Sophos/Unifi network infrastructure
      • Atlassian Jira amp; Confluence
