About the role:
We are looking for a Chief Data Officer to lead V2’s data capability and be the driving force behind our Data Go to Market. The data effort also involves integrating data into our broader digital proposition, driving transformative value for our clients.
The candidate must be a respected senior leader in the space with a large following among the data community, senior customer stakeholders and in the technology partner ecosystem. You will have a proven track record of sales and delivery, with a great deal of pre-sales experience working for a consultancy.You will lead our Data consultancy practice which spans across: Data Strategy, Data Foundry, Data Engineering, Data Science, ML amp; Generative AI.
What will your day look like:
- Working with other members of the leadership team on our GTM
- Clear understanding of customer challenges through lived experience
- Advising our customers on their Data pain points and future strategy
- Heavily involved in the sales amp; pre-sales of new work among our customers
- Being the Data Voice at V2’s leadership meetings
- Building relationships with our Data Partners
- Leading the Data consulting team, including building relationships, coaching and mentoring
- Working with marketing to help produce external facing collateral and content
- Being a confident public speaker and going on the speaking circuit (conferences, meetups, podcasts) as a thought leader in the space
- Interviewing future talent into the business
What is required of you:
- 12+ years of experience working in data
- 6+ years of experience in a leadership role
- Consultancy amp; pre sales experience.
- Must have large enterprise knowledge and experience
- Multi-industry knowledge
- Deep technical expertise in Data
- Strong technical pedigree beyond data also, Cloud and Software highly desirable.
- Strong empathy and ability to build relationships with the broader teams
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
