We currently are looking for a permanent Senior Java developer to join our new Perth team.

Your role
As a Senior Java Software Engineer, you will have the opportunity to develop quality software across a range of projects, operating systems, and development environments, as well as providing support, leadership, and guidance to the wider team.
As a Senior Java Software Engineer your main responsibilities will be:
- Designing, coding, configuring, and supporting fully integrated software solutions that meet customer needs and our own high standards
- Working closely with Systems Engineers, Software Engineers and Architects to support the development and review of functional design specifications, high-level system architectures and interface designs
- Contributing to scrum teams, attending project reviews, and ensuring work adheres to established software engineering processes and methodologies Supporting, encouraging, and sharing knowledge with other team members.
- Take pro-active ownership of all allocated tasks, delivering on time and within budget.
- Understand and adhere to design decisions and work with Technical Leads to ensure that all work produced is `designed to cost' and Adopt to the agreed business processes.
Requirements

Experience required:
- 7+ years Java development experience, supported by strong design principles
- Knowledge of the IDE/CICD Tools: GIT, Bitbucket, Gradle, Cucumber, Jenkins, Eclipse, JIRA
- Previous experience of undertaking a senior role within a software development team. or have an aspiration to undertake a senior role within a software development team, with a proven ability to deliver successful software
- Agile methodologies, i.e. SCRUM, SAFE
- Aerospace software development and experience of relational databases would be advantageous (DO-178)
