The Position
As part of our Outcomes team, you will work with a highly dedicated team in delivering services in one of our residential homes in Rosebud. You will work alongside people we support, their families/guardians and staff to ensure that the people we support receive the highest level of care.
This position will support our House Supervisor and team of staff in the day to day running of the home. This involves mentoring our support workers, assisting with buddy shifts, assisting with rosters and filling shifts, updating documentation including person supported health files and records, booking appointments and answering day to day questions. As the Advanced Support Worker, you will support the home when the House Supervisor is not on shift.
You will work with an incredibly supportive, knowledgeable, and committed House Supervisor, who will support you on a day to day basis and provide you with opportunities to grow your career, including monthly personal development sessions. You will be supported and coached by our Practice Quality and Safeguards team, who are experts in Zero Tolerance, human rights-based Positive Behaviour Support and person-centred approach. Monthly staff house meeting are held to ensure a good level of consultation and communication regarding organisational, house and resident matters.
Work in a newly refurbished home, with an experienced and stable team. The people supported appreciate the friendly home-like environment created here. We are looking for someone with experience working with people who have higher support needs and assist them to access a wide range of community activities that they enjoy such as church and dinner nights out.
Fortnight 1: 60 hours
Fortnight 2: 60 hours
The roster will be shared as part of the recruitment process, shifts include morning and night shifts, weekend shifts and sleep over shifts.
Employment, salary and benefits are in accordance with the Disability Services Enterprise Agreement (Victoria) 2018 to 2022 Classification Level DDSO2A.
