Requirements

We’re looking for an experienced, effective Commercial Business Partner join our North Sydney based Finance team on a permanent basis.

Focusing on our Sales teams in NSW and QLD and reporting to our Senior Commercial Manager Sales, you will take full ownership of this focal role. You’ll need to be a driven and capable relationship builder, who can quickly gain the trust and respect of our State Leadership teams and support our National Sales team, partnering with them to drive a culture of performance and profit delivery.

As a key business partner, you’ll be:

  • Focused on insights rather than just the data you’ll be able to extract meaningful interpretations and convey them successfully to drive business and performance outcomes.
  • Monitoring and reporting on Sales finances including expense budgets, capital expenditure budgets, costing, pricing and profitability.
  • Facilitating budgeting and forecasting to meet internal requirements, including ad-hoc analysis and identifying opportunities to improve the financial outlook.
  • Assisting with the commercial support in preparation of all Sales contracts and capex requests, such as providing summaries of considerations and recommendations to the Head of Finance and Group CFO.
  • Ensuring success is achieved through compliance with appropriate controls and governance.
  • Actively seeking, identifying, researching, and reporting on current industry trends, regulatory changes, competitor and customer activity and best practice that may directly impact our business.

About You

This is a senior level role and as such we will need you to have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a commercial environment.

We’ll also need you to be:

  • Highly organised and self-motivated, with a hands-on, proactive attitude.
  • Confident, with the gravitas to bring ideas to the table and respectfully challenge when necessary.
  • Keen to come on board, identify and drive continuous improvements.
  • Experienced in building relationships at all levels of a business.
  • A skilled influencer who has a proven track record of collaboration leading to the achievement of desired goals.
  • Ideally CPA/CA qualified with good PowerBI skills.

It goes without saying that you will have strong commercial awareness and have a keen focus on driving quality objectives for our business.

Due to the geographies you will be looking after, there will be a requirement for some travel to our Prestons and Brisbane locations.
