  • Part Time, Maximum Term contract until 30 June 2025
  • Classification: Consumer Service Delivery Level 5 with a salary range of $102,653 - $107,178 pro rata per annum + Superannuation

About your new role

Reporting directly to the Clinical Service Manager, the Project Coordinator will support the Northern Territory Head to Health Services Clinical Services Manager and broader team in leading a project to expand and implement the Initial Assessment and Referral (IAR) tool in primary care settings across the NT.

The Project Coordinator will be responsible for strategic project and planning matters relating to engagement of General Practitioners (GPs) and staff in their network to learn about, use and embed the IAR in clinical practice, and will provide support training for clinicians and professionals to navigate and use IAR-DST resources. This will include proactively engaging General Practitioners (GPs) and staff in their network to learn about, use and embed the IAR in clinical practice.

The Project Coordinator will develop and maintain a robust, comprehensive, and practical project management plan and schedule, to effect training of GPs in the use and value of the IAR DST.

The role will require effective planning, communication, and engagement strategies to ensure the delivery of agreed project outcomes including the delivery of workshops to train GPs/clinicians/health professionals and will assist and encourage participants to find value in the IAR tool and embed the IAR tool into their everyday, ongoing mental health assessment responsibilities.

The Project Coordinator will be ultimately responsible for the project outcomes and provision of an end of project report.

What you will bring to the role?

  • Working experience in health services or a related field
  • Significant relevant experience and skills in managing or developing projects
  • Demonstrated experience of thinking conceptually and the ability to analyze and problem solve in a creative manner
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and delivering workshops/training
  • Practical understanding of managing change that includes a collegial approach to working with people
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
  • Highly developed written skills and the ability to work with a detailed approach
  • High level computer literacy skills
  • Satisfactory criminal record check - Criminal record checks are mandatory for all new appointments. Neami National will cover the cost of an Australian check. Where a new employee has lived outside of Australia for 12 months or more within the last 10 years, the cost of an International check will be borne by the applicant.
