Working closely with Product, Design and Engineering teams, you will work collaboratively to design, develop and implement product features. You will help to manage and set stakeholder expectations, as well as facilitate decisions and remove roadblocks to implementing new developments.

This is a full-time, permanent position located in our Sydney CBD Hub (441 Kent Street); we also offer some flexibility to work from home. The salary range on offer is $110,000 - $135,000 per annum plus superannuation depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities amp; Duties

• Research, test and find suitable technology stacks
• Own the front-end architecture, strategy amp; development process including defining conventions for front-end solutions, optimising local development flow, automating building production flow and maintaining continuous delivery code bundle

• Ensure the quality of our front-end code by setting and defining guidelines for testing and defining linter to check syntax, code format convention and flow for static check
• Create and define strategy; maintain company libraries, UI library, utility libraries
• Maintain 3rd party dependencies

• Review pull requests (changes to code)
• Apply new technology whilst maintaining legacy code, continuously migrate legacy code
• Consistently maintain documentation
• Manage the day-to-day people operations of an Engineering team including making decisions in line with our development processes and build requirements
• Being a team leader and supporting your team to follow the development process
• Be active in training Engineers and own the front-end training by leading workshops and planning training sessions
• Collaborate with Product and Design Teams to plan product feature development and lead the team to implement features in accordance with our development processes
• Manage stakeholder relationships and ensure design and development requirements are met

Requirements

• Hold a Bachelor’s degree and have at least 4 years experience in software engineering with experience in front-end development
• Have experience in leading and managing Engineering teams including training team members
• Thrive in our highly-collaborative, agile environment with an ability to manage and develop wide stakeholder relations
• Ability to collaborate with stakeholders from Product and Design and provide input into appropriate feature development
• Experience developing with React, Node.js or similar technologies
• Write a highly modular application using JS components
• Excellent communication, attention to detail and organisational skills
• The ability to manage recruiting multiple roles in a fast paced environment
