About the role
As an IT Support Officer at Redox, you will be the first point of contact for our users requiring technical assistance with computer hardware and software. Your duties will include diagnosing and resolving technical problems (or escalating to level 2/3), maintaining hardware and software applications, monitoring, and responding to alerts from our IT systems.
This position allows for a mix of on-site and remote (from home) work. We’re located in South-Western Sydney. If that’s you too, then this is a great opportunity forgo the exhausting commute to the CBD and enjoy a better work/life balance.
About you
To be considered a suitable candidate, you will have a minimum one year working experience or, have a tertiary qualification and be a highly motivated person who enjoys working to the highest standards. Candidates must be able to demonstrate the following characteristics:
- Learner: You can pick up new concepts quickly and creatively apply them in related areas
- Communicator: Exceptional verbal and written skills. You will be responding to the business most of your day, so you will need to enjoy interacting with other employees
- Meticulous: You’re someone with an eye for detail who can catch the smallest mistakes before they become big problems
- Empathetic: You can appreciate a problem from our end user’s perspective
- Service-oriented: You are intrinsically motivated to help
- Results-oriented: You keep pushing a project forward until the job is done
You’ll stand out if you:
- Have previous experience in a role supporting users
- Know the basics of business productivity apps like those in Microsoft’s Office
- Have a basic understanding of computer hardware and networking
