About the Role (your why)
As General Manager, Operations you’ll provide senior level customer leadership, technical management, knowledge and awareness, and problem-solving capabilities across both Managed and Professional Services operation for one of our key ACT accounts.
Infrastructure operations underpin the client’s business and the services they provide to their customers. As General Manager you will mobilise technical teams ensuring inter-team collaboration and accountability across lines of service supporting client success. You will be a highly motivated, capable and results focused individual who carries influence with peers, team members on the client account and broader Datacom lines of service. You will establish and grow the client relationships ensuring that services provided meet their needs and comply with the terms of the contract.
This is a customer facing role and will therefore need to be Canberra based, and you’ll need to able to be on-site 3 days per week. Please note that at this point, this is an internal only opportunity.

This is a critical, senior leadership role where you lead our internal team to successfully deliver to our Managed Services agreement. You’ll bring a strong background in IT services and service management. With experience managing a large team in a complex and busy IT operational environment (methodologies, tools, processes). You’ll be passionate about people, process, efficiency and above all else relationship building.
You’ll be able to work effectively in a dynamic environment, taking ownership of issues with a can-do approach. You will also be comfortable being on call 24 x 7, and working outside of normal business hours when required.
