Help shape the future of electrification and energy efficiency in AustraliaThis role is responsible for developing and advocating Brighte’s policy positions on electrification, energy efficiency and small scale renewables
This role will focus on:
Leading Brighte’s policy advocacy efforts to inform our strategyProviding insights into upcoming regulatory changesBeing Brighte’s voice in industryWhat You'll Do
  • Policy advocacy:

  • Develop advocacy strategies, analysis and advice on accelerating electrification and energy efficiency to advance Brighte’s mission
  • Lead, research and prepare thought leadership, surveys and reports on residential electrification with a focus on finance
  • Proactively identify opportunities to help shape public policy to benefit end consumers

  • Regulatory support:

  • Provide insights and analysis into upcoming regulatory and legislative change that could impact Brighte, its partners or customers
  • Help shape the regulatory landscape to ensure consumer needs are at the centre
  • Draft submissions to respond to inquiries and white papers

  • Represent Brighte:

  • Represent Brighte’s interests on external regulatory and industry meetings, forums and working groups
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with a network of key industry stakeholders
  • Provide input into the Brighte’s broader media and communications strategy
Who You Are
  • Strong understanding of electrification, energy efficiency and solar
  • Strong understanding of the state and Federal energy policy landscape
  • Experience designing and advocating for energy policy and regulatory proposals
  • Exceptional communication skills and an ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • 5+ years Public Policy experience, in energy sector or government
