Your new role
We are looking for a Senior Analyst to join our Finance team on a permanent, full-time basis. At GWA we offer hybrid work arrangement, but when you are in the ‘office’ you will call our North Sydney office ‘home’.
As our Senior Commercial Analyst, you will support our Senior Commercial Manager in providing analysis amp; insights, commercial advice and reporting that drives superior performance across our Group Marketing, Supply, Ramp;D and Logistics teams. Specifically, this role will see you responsible for:
- The analysis and insights that will support the delivery of the Group Marketing priorities.
- Commercial and Financial business partnership to our Group Marketing Leadership Team
- Supporting the transformation of the role of finance as business partners, through providing insights, rather than just creating analysis.
- Monitoring and reporting on Group Marketing finances including expense budgets, capital expenditure budgets, costing, pricing, and profitability.
- Supporting Group Marketing performance processes by creating mitigation recommendations to close performance gaps.
- Driving the commercial support on the NPD gate process, ensuring all papers have been prepared in accordance with expectations
- Researching information on current industry trends and competitor / customer activity and report on the impact of those trends and provide recommendations on potential solutions.
About you
Along with a minimum of 3-5 years accounting/reporting/analyst experience and a CPA/CA qualification, you’ll have:
- An ability to work under broad directions with work being self-initiated, being highly organised, meeting service and quality objectives
- A can-do attitude, with an ability to constructively challenge our Marketing Leadership Team
- Advanced Excel modelling skills
- Great ERP/BI system knowledge (ideally D365)
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated experience in decision support and financial analysis, with a proven track record of delivering insights which make a business impact
- Ability to inspire and introduce change.
