About the Role:
This position exists to create value for Aliaxis through the enhanced management of our expenditure across the Finished Goods, Metal, Rubber and Capex categories.
- Developing and implementing the regional spend categories / sourcing strategies to achieve business objectives with key stakeholders.
- Getting a world-wide knowledge of the suppliers market of the category, thus bringing innovation amp; change management and new opportunities to the company
- Generating value through better ordering, spend visibility, contracts, market insights, supplier driven innovation, demand management, collaboration with value generating suppliers, internal/external collaboration
- Ensure smooth relationships and effective collaboration amp; boundary management in the matrix with key stakeholders in the different local countries/businesses
- Work with the Procurement Director in the region and in each market to develop the yearly and long term procurement category plans to generate benefits and/or revenues for the Region Markets
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or other technical discipline is highly regarded.
- Experience and background managing procurement in a complex, large, matrix organisation, ideally in manufacturing/industrial environment.
- 5 years’ experience in procurement/supply chain and/or operational management; demonstrating a proven track record of developing and implementing strategy, delivering year on year value.
- Specific industry experience, relating to procurement of Finish goods and componentry from overseas (particularly China and South East Asia).
- Demonstrated ability to work with technical information, including specifications, detailed drawings and to qualify and audit suppliers based on capability to meet Aliaxis requirements.
- Strong change management experience and ability to align stakeholders behind the procurement strategy and goals.
- Willing to travel regionally/globally up to 33%.
