About the role:

We are looking for a Security Operations Manager, who will be accountable for the end-to-end management of our security operations across all geographical locations. The role encompasses team leadership, vendor management and will contribute to the continuous improvement of security strategy to ensure CDC’s security operations and policies are streamlined and executed with the highest standard of operational excellence.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead and manage physical security operations and personnel across multiple sites.
  • Manager 3rd party physical security contractor relationship and ensure consistency of functional performance of associated resources, and aligned to Security policies and procedures
  • Deliver training and awareness to Operational staff, contractors and associates to ensure compliance to company security posture.
  • Implement and oversee security standards, policies, and procedures across the portfolio.
  • Collect and analyse security data to determine security requirements.
  • Coordinate and deliver operational security reporting requirements and deliverables.
  • Analyse and evaluate security operations to identify risks through auditing, review and assessment.
  • Work diversely as a key part of a broader CDC team to positively build upon the culture and capabilities of our collective.
  • Work collaboratively with governance and risk areas of the business to drive the highest level of compliance and lowest levels of risk.
  • Provide cultural and operational team leadership and mentor and impart knowledge to colleagues.
  • Act in an ambassadorial capacity for the company
  • Lead, attend and contribute to appropriate team and stakeholder meetings and committees as required and relevant to ensure excellent stakeholder engagement and communication.
  • Embrace and model CDC’s DNA and Leadership Fundamentals.
  • Ad-hoc duties as required from time to time.

About you:

  • Minimum 7 years working in Security related industry, 3 years in a leadership position.
  • Relevant Industry or government qualifications in the Security industry, and demonstrated experience operating within an ASIO T4 Zone 4/5 security framework.
  • Demonstrated experience operating within Australian Government Security legislation and frameworks as defined under the Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF).
  • Experience in operating large infrastructure buildings or facilities.
  • Demonstrated experience working within global security industry standards and frameworks including ISO 9001, 14001, 27001.
  • Ability to keep abreast of developments in the field and anticipate trends within the industry and market.

Essential:

  • Australian citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a NV1 Security Clearance.
