We are in need of an experienced Finance Manager to join our growing team and partner with the manufacturing arm of our business. In this role, you will work closely with the Financial Controller to support the day-to-day activities of the finance department. Your responsibilities will include month end processing, preparing management reports and financial reporting, processing journal entries, and completing balance sheets reconciliations. We are seeking someone with strong hands-on accountancy experience; this role involves working with manual processes, and we are seeking someone with a proven track record in handling such tasks with confidence and ease.
In this role, you will;
- Prepare Manufacturing division monthly Pamp;L (including dashboard reporting) and prepare CMO for the review process.
- Prepare and complete Manufacturing related balance sheet reconciliations.
- Oversee and assist with the month-end closing process to meet reporting deadlines.
- Be responsible for the integrity and completeness of the inventory and assets ledger.
- Ensure Manufacturing related expenses are recorded correctly and in a timely manner.
- Finance lead for the inventory stocktakes.
- Review costs continuously and identify anomalies in item’s costs.
- Solid understanding of cost accounting
- Variance and trend analysis - Manufacturing.
- Working closely with the Manufacturing and Supply chain teams.
- Drive improvement initiatives to ensure item costs are accurate and comprehensive.
- Identify and drive optimisation to the interface between the inventory and manufacturing system and Xero.
- Assist in the implementation of a new ERP.
- Support the Manufacturing team in forecasting and budgeting.
- Assist the Financial controller with ad hoc projects
Your experience
- Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role - Finance Management Accounting in a Manufacturing environment. Hands-on manufacturing experience is preferred.
- Thorough understanding of all Finance related aspects of manufacturing, procurement, freight, and assets maintenance and management.
- Strong understanding of ERPs will be helpful for future growth.
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting and a CPA/CA qualification
