This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Financial Business Partner to join our close-knit team in providing quality services to our real estate businesses and Place HQ. You will report to the CFO within the Finance department, and work alongside business owners as their financial partner.
This full-time role is both challenging and rewarding and will see you become an integral part of the finance team function. It is an ideal opportunity for a driven individual who is looking to become part of an innovative, engaging, and motivating work environment.
Key Responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:
- Management account preparation involving monthly financial reports covering balance sheet, profit and loss, internal management reports and cash flow statements
- Annual Budget preparation with stakeholders and quarterly reforecasts
- Business analysis and other ad hoc reporting requests
- Monthly accruals and balance sheet recs, journals, fixed assets, and depreciation schedules
- Monthly cash flow projections and tax liability management.
- Reconciliation of BAS and IAS for submission to external accountants
- Assist in year-end audit amp; review of inter-company reconciliations
- Proactively identify new processes and systems to increase efficiency
- Attend quarterly financial meetings with the business owners
- Benchmarking to industry and internal Place businesses
Requirements
Placing the right candidate is very important to us. A successful candidate will bring to the table:
- CPA or CA qualification preferable
- 4+ years proven experience in an accounting role
- Ability to influence and guide decision making
- Fantastic people skills amp; the ability to work effectively in a team
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Excel
- Experience with MYOB or MYOB advanced favourable
- Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Proactive and driven
