Due to our continued success and growth, an exceptional opportunity for a self-driven, and energetic Marketing amp; Communications Specialist has become available. This is a full-time, permanent role based in North Plympton (SA).

About the Role:

The role is to assist in developing, managing amp; providing financial reports, analysis amp; information to meet the company’s commercial, group reporting and statutory requirements. The role provides leadership in the delivery of key financial projects and objectives to the business to ensure that the company`s budgeting and financial reporting activities is completed accurately, on time and with appropriate controls.

Responsibilities include:

  • Review current financial reporting amp; determine areas to improve relevance amp; focus of the business
  • Actively monitor amp; manage debtor days in line with agreed targets.
  • Review current debtor terms amp; conditions and propose how these can be better managed with a plan to decrease debtor terms where possible.
  • Review, develop and manage the application of appropriate financial controls across the business
  • Ensure all Philmac and Group reporting needs are delivered in full amp; on time with relevant analysis, commentary and action as required
  • Work closely with the Finance Manager for preparation and review of BAS, Income Tax, FBT and Annual Statutory reporting requirements
  • Work closely with external auditors and advisors to ensure all legal requirements are met
  • Provide, monitor, and maintain a safe workplace and work practices
  • Consult with workers to develop, implement, and continuously improve work practices
  • Promptly report incidents / events and effectively deal with work-related injury / illness through the return-to-work program

About You:

The ideal person for this role is a financial accountant that can manage, deliver and analyse corporate financial information and partner with business managers to ensure that appropriate ownership and action is taken in line with financial objectives.

  • Possess tertiary qualifications in Finance/Accounting or Economics
  • CPA or Chartered Accountant preferred.
  • Minimum 2-5 years’ experience in finance roles
  • Demonstrated experience in corporate financial reporting
  • Experience in improving financial controls and business processes
  • Thorough knowledge of Australian Taxation Law and relevant Accounting Standards
  • Up to date on best practice trends and processes in Finance Teams
