  • Classification: Consumer Service Delivery 2 with an hourly rate of $42.59 - $45.67 (including Casual Loading) + Superannuation

About Neami National

Neami National is a community mental health service supporting people living with mental illness to improve their health, live independently and pursue a life based on their own strengths, values and goals.

Overview of the position

The Together Home Program (THP) offers flexible, community-based outreach support to people who have experienced homelessness and rough sleeping so they can maintain their tenancy, enhance physical health and wellbeing, and participate in their community of choice.

Community Rehabilitation and Support Workers (CRSW) will provide a range of support to consumers in line with the Collaborative Relational Practice model (CRP), supporting consumers to engage in their own personal and unique journey and develop new skills, social connections and improve their wellbeing by engaging with them as fellow persons.

You will work closely with other community partner organisations to deliver the best possible comprehensive service to consumers.

What you will bring to the role?

  • Experience in Outreach work
  • Demonstrate integrity, credibility and foster open communication
  • Positively listens and consults with others to proactively address conflict
  • Demonstrates an interest and understanding of others and relates well to people at all levels
  • Demonstrates self-awareness and ability to reflect and handle feedback well and learn from it
  • Formal qualifications in mental health highly desirable
  • Experience in the homelessness sector an advantage

What the role requires:

  • National Criminal History Check (Police check) disclosable outcomes considered
  • Current Working with Children Check required before commencement of work
  • Current Drivers licence

  • As part of Neami’s condition of employment you will need to provide appropriate evidence of being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (having received three doses) to Neami National.
