We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Subject Matter Expert (SME) with primary teaching credentials (preferably NSW) to join our team. As an SME, you will work with our learning designers, graphic and web developers to create high-quality educational resources aligned with specific content points from the new syllabus. Your ability to deliver video lessons and co-design engaging learning materials will be crucial in this role.
Responsibilities
- Participate in workshops to unpack the new syllabus with the team.
- Write video scripts to address assigned content points in the new Maths syllabus.
- Work closely with learning designers to co-design and create digital learning activities.
- Design printable worksheets for students, parents and teachers.
- Write high-quality student-facing material to appropriate levels (Early Stage 1 and Stage 1).
- Work independently or in a distributed team using a variety of collaboration and project management tools.
- Communicate effectively and professionally individually and in teams, including with client stakeholders and colleagues at Curio.
Requirements
- A primary teaching credential (preferably NSW) and a strong background in education.
- In-depth knowledge of the subject matter- Mathematics.
- Ability to translate content points from the syllabus to student-facing lessons and activities.
- Ability to deliver lessons and demonstrations to cameras.
- Ability to travel to a location in Sydney for filming.
- Familiarity with Maths teaching strategies and syllabus documents.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Can follow agile work practices and thrive in the fast-paced environment.
- Be open-minded and work iteratively in response to feedback.
- Can do attitude.

Remuneration: $75,000 - 85,000 per annum (depending on experience)
