Job Description

Melba Support Services are actively recruiting for Senior Business Analysts to join our Transformation Team on a 2 year fixed term basis in a Hybrid Role (based from Lilydale or Scoresby).

The Role

As part of a new and small but growing team you will be engaged across the program and initially be focused on our Workforce Planning, Operating Model and Service Delivery Model project streams. You may need to work across and support other streams of work over time as required. Some of the key expectations from the role are as below:

  • Identify, analyse, validate and specify needs and requirements of business users and stakeholders through user stories, acceptance criteria, functional requirements, business rules, business process maps, customer journey maps and wireframes.
  • Plan, facilitate and document outcomes of workshops to elicit requirements.
  • Map and reengineer business processes; conduct Gap Analysis between as-is and to-be business processes.
  • Assist with defining business benefits and how they will be measured and reported.
  • Conduct Cost Benefit analysis and support business cases and concept papers as required.
  • Work closely with project team members to help translate requirements into solutions that meet proposed business outcomes.
  • Review Test Plans and Test Cases and support users during UAT.
  • Conduct Training Needs Analysis and assist with the development of Training Plans and Manuals.
  • Contribute to sourcing and vendor assessment.
  • Coordinate and participate in tender process with external vendors.

About You

  • 5+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst
  • Experience in Transformation programs and/or detailed planning at the beginning of a complex program (desirable).
  • Experience in the care/disability support sector (desirable).
  • Broad understanding and experience implementing changes across a variety of business functions.
  • Requires little support and demonstrates the ability to work autonomously in complex projects in medium to large corporate environments. Provides support to less experienced Business Analysts as required.
  • Ability to develop and maintain productive and collaborative relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Ability to work with change management and BA practice to map stakeholder engagement plans and approach.
