The Purpose:
The GM, Scheme Management is a core leadership role within our Payments amp; Schemes function, reporting to the Chief Payments amp; Schemes Officer. The purpose of this role is to manage scheme operations for all schemes within the Payments amp; Schemes team.
The role will see you responsible for management of all scheme governance, rules, member engagement in relation to schemes, managing the onboarding of new members, compliance management and oversight of risks for Payments amp; Schemes. The role currently supervises a team of 10 staff.
Day to day you can expect to;
- Be accountable for integrating, aligning, and transforming the scheme and member governance activities including supporting processes, into one servicing model within Payments amp; Schemes.
- Work with peers and leaders across AP+ to develop the optimum model for servicing scheme members across all products within this team.
- Engaging with stakeholders to lead a process to consolidate and align underlying scheme rules within AP+ into a single framework.
- Streamline and integrate the processes to onboard new members into the various schemes within AP+.
- Lead the collection of data about payment statistics for AP+ payment products and the analysis and collation of these to support insights for internal stakeholders.
- Identify and prioritise integration of supporting systems (portals, workflow, operational support) to increase automation and efficiency.
- Continue to optimise the required structure, capability and people for the team.
- Lead, manage and mentor team members.
- Actively demonstrate leadership behaviours focused on excellence, collaboration, curiosity, responsiveness and execution.
The skills amp; knowledge you need to have are:
- Proven amp; substantial experience working with scheme functions within the payments industry
- Proven experience incorporating the perspective of multiple stakeholders with different views
- Proven ability to develop, mentor and empower high performing teams
- Experience working in an organisation that has undergone transformation
- Experience in continuous improvement of systems and processes
