Job Description
A unique opportunity to join a worldwide leading system integrator in tolling, ITS amp; tunnel management systems design, development and deployment. This role would suite a recent electrical/electronic engineering graduate and/or those with Intelligent transportation systems (ITS) experience.
The Junior ITS Engineer will be working on the West Gate Tunnel Project and reporting to the ITS Delivery Manager. The role will support the delivery of the ITS subsystems, including the power distribution, control system, ITS cabinets, and detection systems.
The role will have the following responsibilities:
- Review and analysis of project requirements;
- Participation in systems implementation, configuration, testing and commissioning.
- Support the procurement and testing processes of the ITS subsystems; and
- Review and update of design reports, drawings, spreadsheets, schedules, and asset register;
Requirements
The preferred candidate will be a recent graduate in electrical/electronic engineering. Experience in the ITS sector is highly desirable and will be looked favourably on.
The preferred candidate will also have:
- Understanding of PLCs and industrial communication protocols;
- Experience configuring commercial electronic/electromechanics equipment;
- Basic understanding of communication networks and user level in computer systems (virtual machines, servers, operative systems).
- Working knowledge of AS 3000 Wiring Standards;
- MS Office tools (Word, Excel, Visio, and Power Point);
- Working knowledge and/or experience with cable sizing, cabinets, and switchboards;
- The ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
