Due to growth we are looking for an experienced accountant, ideally in public practice who genuinely cares about seeing their clients succeed and is looking for a role where your proactive, client first attitude is recognised and rewarded.
Key Responsibilities
Managing a client portfolio as the primary contact for their business needs, including:
- Preparing and reviewing monthly management reports
- Reviewing tax returns and other statutory lodgments
- Mentoring mid-level and junior staff through work review and providing clear, supportive feedback
- Explaining financial insights to small business owners in a clear and simple manner
- Proactively responding to queries and providing support and advice for business growth
- Meeting with small business customers, discussing reports and providing key insights
- Utilizing Xero to create accurate and timely financial dashboards
- Prioritizing and effectively handling multiple tasks while maintaining high-quality work
- Developing and maintaining positive client relationships, delivering value in every interaction
- Staying updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices, and effectively communicating this information to clients.
Requirements
You’re an experienced senior accountant who genuinely cares about seeing their clients succeed and is looking for a role where your proactive, client first attitude is recognised and rewarded. You're passionate about your work and understand the significant impact that timely and relevant financial insights can have on the growth and success of small business:
- Degree qualification with 5+ years’ experience in a similar role
- Experience working within public practice
- CPA or CA qualified
- Experience working with small business clients
- Proficiency in Xero and Xero Practice Manager
- Forward-thinking attitude with a dedication to delivering exceptional client services
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Enjoy working in a small but growing team, focused on delivering to their clients
