Job Description

We’re looking to bring in a deeply curious and passionate People Advisor to help us support our people leaders and nurture our culture.

We are based in Yálla-birr-ang (Collingwood, Melbourne), and we welcome applications from all backgrounds. About the People team

This is a new role in the People team. The People team is small but with big ambitions. We are proud of our contribution to Today’s success so far, and we strive to support and grow our culture, systems, practices and policies to enable our teams to do their best work in a collaborative, inclusive and supportive environment.

About the role

This role will see you collaborate with our people team and management team to create the perfect conditions for teams to deliver great, creative work. This will involve delivering a great people experience through some of the frameworks we already have in place, building out our future teams and evolving our practices over time.

We are looking for someone who wants to make a positive impact through their work.

Accountabilities

Support teams to ensure an impeccable people experience

  • In collaboration with people leaders, ensure our people are in the right roles, with the right conditions to thrive and grow
  • Lead teams through core employee experience processes and programs, including acquisition, onboarding, career framework, learning initiatives and wellbeing
  • Grow capability by providing coaching support and expert advice, enabling people leaders to fulfil their people responsibilities

Help us to attract the very best

  • Support the development and implementation of an acquisition strategy to find incredible change-makers
  • Ensure all our hiring activities align with Today's diversity ambitions
  • Coach and guide our hiring teams, ensuring we deliver a great candidate experience
  • Manage our onboarding experience, ensuring planning and support of new starters to ensure they are set up for success
  • Evolve our hiring practices to ensure we continue to attract great, diverse creatives

Help us become the very best

  • Support the People team to develop and deliver strategic improvement across all pillars of the people experience
  • Support the development and execution of DEI strategic objectives
  • Explore technology options as a way of automating our people practices and processes

Requirements

  • 3-4 years experience in an equivalent role, in an agency or professional services environment
  • Experience in all aspects of the people experience, from hiring, onboarding, learning and growth and wellbeing
  • Experience with partnering with people leaders to create the right conditions for teams to thrive
  • Experience or deep interest in the development and execution of people initiatives, particularly DEI
  • An interest in human-centred design and innovation
  • Ease in building and maintaining relationships with a diverse range of people
  • Outstanding organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong problem-solving skills; ability to manage ambiguity with an open mind and positive mindset
  • You have a growth mindset and a curiosity to grow your capabilities and expertise as a people leader
  • You must be legally able to work in Australia
