The Position:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality and Compliance Manager to join our organisation.

As the Quality and Compliance Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that our facility meets all regulatory requirements, maintains high-quality standards, and delivers excellent care to our residents. You will be responsible for responsible for the facilitation and coordination of the quality management program across all residential aged care facilities within the organisation.

Key Duties amp; Responsibilities

  • Ability to attend onsite Audits as required.
  • Oversee the quality and compliance team to ensure regular site audits are conducted against the aged care accreditation standards.
  • Assist and support management and employees in developing, conveying and delivering on individual and organisational plans for continuous improvement.
  • Ensure each facility is prepared at for an unannounced external audit at all times and has a current plan for continuous improvement in place.
  • Ensure clinical care risks have been minimised or mitigated within agreed time frames in partnership with management.
  • Provide clinical care Key Performance Indicators (KPI) at governance, organisational and service levels by means of agreed reports and other quality documents.
  • Maintain documented evidence of the organisations Quality Management Systems across all sites.
  • Assist in the development of and response to Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission audit reports in agreed timeframes.
  • Provide support in facilitating development of and response to Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission audit reports in agreed timeframes.
  • Assist in the research and development of best practice policies and processes.
  • Assist in the investigation and response to high level complaints and other scenarios such as coroners’ cases.
  • Assist in the deployment and ongoing operation of key clinical systems such as Leecare.
  • Other tasks as directed by the Chief Quality and Risk Officer

Requirements

What you can bring to the role:

  • Successful completion of a minimum Bachelor Degree in Nursing (Registered Nurse).
  • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • High level ability to utilise information management and computer systems.
  • Working knowledge of the requirements of the The Aged Care Act including the Aged Care Quality Standards, Specified Care and Service Principles, Documentation Standards, Residents Rights, Aged Care Funding Instrument and other relevant legislation, regulations and codes of practices.
  • Sound communication skills.
  • NDIS Worker Screening Endorsement (or ability to acquire).

Desirable:

  • Formal qualification in quality management frameworks.
