Job Description

Due to growth we are looking for an experienced accountant, ideally in public practice who genuinely cares about seeing their clients succeed and is looking for a role where your proactive, client first attitude is recognised and rewarded.


Key Responsibilities

Managing a portfolio of clients, acting as the primary contact for their business needs including:


  • Preparation amp; review of monthly management reports
  • Reviewal of tax returns and other statutory lodgments
  • Mentoring med-level amp; junior staff through reviewing work, providing clear, concise and supportive feedback within a culture focused environment
  • Explaining the key insights from financial information to small business owners in a clear and simple manner
  • Proactively responding to queries, providing support and advice to assist them in growing their business
  • Meeting with small business customers, discussing reporting amp; providing key business insights. Being a go to finance thought-leader for your portfolio of customers
  • Utilising Xero to build dashboards that deliver accurate and timely financial insights?
  • Prioritising and handling multiple tasks and jobs effectively, while still maintaining high-quality work
  • Developing and maintaining positive relationships with clients, providing value in every interaction
  • Remaining current on industry trends, changes in regulations and best practices, and effectively communicating this information to clients in a clear and simple manner

Requirements

You’re an experienced senior accountant who genuinely cares about seeing their clients succeed and is looking for a role where your proactive, client first attitude is recognised and rewarded. You're passionate about your work and understand the significant impact that timely and relevant financial insights can have on the growth and success of small business:


  • Degree qualification with 5+ years’ experience in a similar role
  • Experience working within public practice
  • CPA or CA qualified
  • Experience working with small business clients
  • Proficiency in Xero and Xero Practice Manager
  • Forward-thinking attitude with a dedication to delivering exceptional client services
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Enjoy working in a small but growing team, focused on delivering to their clients
