The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of culinary professionals in the design and delivery of exceptional Famp;B offerings in fabulously refurbished venues, that appeal to skiers and non-skiers alike in Falls Creek and the entire local region in Albury/Wodonga. Responsibilities
- Overseeing the daily operations of the kitchen and coordinating food preparation and cooking activities.
- Developing innovative and creative menus that combine both modern-creative and traditional styles of cooking.
- Setting and monitoring food quality and safety standards, and ensuring that the kitchen meets regulatory requirements.
- Maintaining inventory levels and ordering stock and supplies as needed.
- Managing food and labor costs, and preparing budgets and financial reports.
- Recruiting, training, and supervising kitchen staff, and providing ongoing coaching and feedback.
- Working closely with the sales team to develop and promote food and beverage offerings, and participating in promotional events to enhance the company's brand and reputation.
Requirements
- Experience in Asian Cuisine is necessary
- At least 2 years of experience as a Head Chef or Executive Chef in a high-volume, multi-outlet, or remote location food service environment.
- A degree or diploma in culinary arts, or a related field.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team and communicate effectively with customers, suppliers, and stakeholders.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations, and experience in maintaining a safe and hygienic kitchen environment.
- Demonstrated creativity and innovation in menu design and presentation.
- Ability to manage costs and budgets effectively, and experience in preparing financial reports.
- A willingness to work flexible hours, weekends, and holidays, and to relocate to remote locations as required.
