Working as part of our Journey Beyond Group, you play an integral role in supporting our business to share special places and shape lasting memories.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
Reporting to the Group Manager, Revenue amp; Analytics, this role will be instrumental in delivering on Journey Beyond’s data driven strategy. As an expert in PowerBi with significant professional experience in Business Intelligence (BI) and Analytics you understand the value of data driven insights. You will not just want to build dashboards and run reports, you will want to use advanced analytics to tell stories with data and drive performance outcomes
Key responsibilities will include:
- Owner of Journey Beyond’s PowerBi environment from requirements, development, through to implementation
- Using data to identify trends, insights, and opportunities to optimise business performance
- Working with senior Journey Beyond stakeholders to develop insightful dashboards that drive strong performance outcomes
- Ensuring accuracy and reconciliation between data sources
- Assigning tasks to junior team members, while monitoring output and reviewing work
- Accurately gauge development timelines, meet deadlines and prioritise tasks on multiple projects
- Ad hoc analytics utilising Journey beyond Enterprise Datawarehouse
TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
You will have a bachelor’s degree in a Computer Technology related field or have equivalent experience in SQL and Microsoft BI stack (SSMS/SSIS).
- Significant experience in Power BI, tabular data modelling and DAX.
- Very strong communication skills
- Understanding of a broad range of commercial functions (including Product, Sales, Marketing, Finance, IT, Contact Centres, CRM)
- Work well in a fast paced, multi-business environment with tight deadlines
- Experience in the travel or tourism sector desirable but not essential
- Strong T-SQL skills
- Experience in Data Warehousing design and best practices
- Expectational stakeholder management
