Scanning Pens, a consumer electronics company that provides assistive reading technology, is looking for a Business Development Manager for their Education Sales department. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to drive sales growth and market share in the education sector. Reporting to the Country Manager, the Business Development Manager will work closely with the sales and marketing team to identify new revenue streams and maintain relationships with current and potential clients. Scanning Pens is committed to facilitating neurodiversity and promoting literacy around the world.

• Develop and implement sales strategies for the education sector, in alignment with company goals
• Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers in schools, school districts, and educational institutions
• Identify and pursue new sales opportunities, including partnerships and collaborations
• Monitor sales performance and adjust strategies as needed
• Provide regular sales reports and forecasts to senior management
• Keep up to date with industry trends and competitor activity
• Attend industry events and conferences to network and promote Scanning Pens’ products

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing or a related field
• Proven track record of successful business development in the education sector
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, as required.
