About the role:

Based in Banksmeadow amp; part of the Back Office Department, this report to the Legal Counsel and Compliance Delegate Pacific to impart practical experience that deals with compliance amp; legal aspects of the law.

What you will be doing:

  • Compliance assistance
    • Maintain data projection amp; privacy
    • Implement compliance-related policies amp; procedures
    • Maintain anti-bribery amp; anti-corruption practices
    • Track trade amp; international sanctions
    • Meet in accordance with anti-competitive practices
  • Legal assistance
    • In contractual matters which may include freight amp; logistics services, sea/air charters, intra-company contracts, IT vendors amp; leases
    • Corporate governance amp; comparative law regulations
    • Freight, logistics amp; other claims including insurance matters
    • Learning from general legal advice provided in business
    • Resolve legal disputes
  • Conduct general administrative functions, including PowerPoint amp; Excel

Requirements

The successful candidate:

Essential:

  • Undergraduate Law or Business Degree, Diploma, Certificate/paralegal qualifications or similar credentials
  • Meticulous with the ability to handle sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.
  • Microsoft Suite proficiency

Desirable:

  • Proactive, strives for continuous improvement, supportive
  • Multitasks amp; excellent organisation skills with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication amp; interpersonal skills
  • Interest in business, operations, systems, processes, and workflows
