Job Description

  • B-Corp Certified
  • 70,000 happy customers, 4.8 / 5 star rating out of 2000+ customer reviews
  • Multi-award winning products from internationally recognised bodies including Good Design, Red Dot and Dezeen.

Hi, we’re Eva - welcome home.

With our laser focus on bringing more thoughtful design to the everyday, we want you to jump on board as we accelerate towards becoming Australia’s leading furniture company.

So, what's up?

We are looking for a world-class Product Manager to help us launch and manage thoughtfully-designed products that make our customers feel more at home, every day. We take the time to design and develop our beautiful premium-quality products in-house, and then deliver them to our customers faster than you can say I’m in!. Are you ready to do your career-best work?

About the role

Your role will be a dynamic and fast-paced balance between the strategic thinking and the operational ‘get-your-hands-dirty, there’s-notime-like-now' hustle (wow, that was a long hyphen, but you know what we mean). Working cross-functionally to deliver our product strategy, some of things you can expect to go full steam ahead on include:

Product Management

  • Work alongside our marketing amp; supply chain teams to identify and implement ways to drive profitability and growth for our key halo products, taking full ownership of your Pamp;L
  • Prepare business cases to communicate and achieve sign off for projects that improve our products, and our bottom line (then turn those 'cases' into real life 'look what we did' moments)
  • Work closely (like two peas in a pod) with our in-house Design amp; Development team to bring incredible customer-centric products to market. The day-to-day will include managing timelines, communicating and solving problems across the company throughout the development cycle to ensure all products remain on track, to brief, on time; and being the customer advocate throughout the product development process.
  • Regularly facilitate customer research with our customers and non-customers to make sure we really are creating what Aussies want (not just what we think is great!).

Supplier Management

  • Negotiate and manage suppliers to achieve market-leading commercial and payment terms and lead times.
  • Work with our product developers to develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, so we can raise the bar, and ensure we have world-class partners on board our mission to help more people feel at home.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years in product, brand or category management, a highly-focused commercial role, or product development of furniture, homewares, apparel or or similar retail products.
  • Commercial intuition or acumen
  • Passion or interest in furniture, retail and hardware products and retail businesses generally
  • The drive and ambition to operate in a fast paced environment.
  • Great with Excel with strong analytical skills.

Other things we’d love for you to mention if you have it:

  • Experience working within a startup environment
  • Previous product-marketing experience is a plus as we try to unlock market share in this busy busy world of eCommerce
  • Degree qualification in business, product management or relevant qualification.
  • Have any special talents including making a fine cup of coffee, dog training or the ability to dance like a KPop idol

Benefits

  • Eva believes in the power of a diverse team and is fully committed to building and maintaining an inclusive culture. We encourage applicants from all walks of life.
  • Be part of a B-Corp company, one of only eight furniture companies in Australia
  • Support for any learning and development course, conference or training that will help us mutually grow, ears and budget for any wild (but justifiable) ideas.
  • Annual Rest amp; Recover day, where the entire company shuts down for a day to rejuvenate
  • No-questions-asked Mental Health Day to be used when it means the most to you
  • Free anniversary mattress, free yearly Eva products and generous friend/family discounts.
  • All the coffee/ tea/ beers/ kombucha you need.
  • Hybrid work - we’re proud to say that we had WFH before WFH became a thing
  • Monthly team events (prev. events have included the Australian open, cooking classes amp; escape rooms).
  • An autonomous work environment where there is never a regular ‘days work’.
  • A diverse culture and a bunch of really lovely people.

We’re reviewing applications as they come in, so give us a knock on the door, if you think you're the one.

Yours kindly,

Jason from Eva
