Job Description
Our talented Data Center (DC) Team is looking for an enthusiastic Senior Network Engineer/Network Lead with experience inbuilding/designing data centre networks and network attached storage Systems..
You will be given the opportunity to work as a Senior Network Engineer/Network Lead in Squiz’s global DC team, you will assist with the design, implementation and daily operations of a worldwide private cloud network.
What you can expect in this role:
- Manage dynamic OSPF/BGP routing and VXLAN/EVPN overlays
- Manage firewall policies and IPsec tunnels configuration
- Manage layer 2 switching
- Manage and maintain network-oriented file system MooseFS (CEPH like)
- Help to troubleshoot issues across the whole stack - hardware, software, network and storage.
- Help document current and future configuration processes and policies
- Work with project teams and client teams located in the United States, Europe and Australia
- Manage and extend existing oVirt/Proxmox-based KVM virtualisation infrastructure
Required Skills:
- Strong network experience including overlay technologies (EVPN/VXLAN), dynamic routing protocols (BGP/OSPF) and layer 2 protocols (ARP/LACP).
- Experience with IPSEC amp; GRE tunnelling protocols
- Advanced knowledge of dual-stack IP networking (switching and routing)
- Experience with network based storage
- Firewall experience - supporting/maintaining and configuring (policies etc)
- Able to perform physical data centre work where required (ie. cabling/equipment installation)
- Experience with anycast solutions and implementations
Nice to have:
- Linux Systems Administration skills
- Ansible/scripting/automation
- Experience in *NIX-based virtualisation (RHEV, oVirt)
This role will require working on call on a rotating roster.
